Assalamu alaykum everyone

I hope that this message finds everyone in good health.

This is my first time doing this and I cannot write beautifully like a lot of people do so I hope you have the time to read through my story and contribute as much as you can, even if it is a small dua for my father.

Last week I lost my father to lung cancer. It was really a painful experience because my father was also my best friend. We did almost everything together. But after almost a year of hard fought battle with the illness, our Lord decided to take him back to Him, may He grant Jannah to my father.

I decided to do this and raise some funds for my father because while he was alive, he really helped everyone he could help, without hesitation. He always put other people’s needs before his. I am 28 and I never saw my father buy new clothes, new shoes, new phone, eat fancy food or anything similar to that. He always took my or my brother’s stuff once they were torn out and me and my brother didn’t use it anymore. Not once in his life did he ever ask for anything but rather was content with what he had.

Even during his fight with cancer, he didn’t ask much for help. Not because he didn’t want to but because none of our family members extended their hand to help us, so he accepted that, and he didn’t want to put more burden on me and my brother due to our financial issues so he just was patient, prayed as much as he could, because towards the end, all his strength left him and he wasn’t able to leave the bed anymore, and spent his time with us even making us laugh at times, something I will forever cherish.

My father was the most humble, gentle, sweet person I’ve ever met in my life and he never stopped doing good deeds and helping others, even in his final moments, by donating to others whenever we had the money and even with that illness, he still wanted to go and visit the graves of our family members who had passed away, especially his dear brother, because he was the one who always took care of the graves because no one else did it. So I really want to raise these funds to build a water well for my father and to multiply his good deeds just as he did for others.

Please if you can, share this fundraiser and donate as much as you can because even the smallest amount is worth so much. And if you can’t donate, please pray for my father, his name was Nuri and he was 55 years old. But not just for my dad, but pray for everyone who is in a similar situation and has no one on their side to support them because I know how it feels to want help but no one is there to help you or extend their hand.

To everyone that helps, I pray that God blesses you and your family, protects you and your family, fulfill your dreams and gives you a long and happy life just like your beautiful soul in sha Allah. Take care of yourselves and always spend your time as much as you can with your parents, family and loved ones because you never know when it might be their last moment, or ours.

Jazākum Allāhu Khayran.
